Naming a New Nursing Program With Accelerated Sort
Challenge
In partnership with a leading healthcare organization, a well-known nursing school designed a specialized nursing program to meet growing demand. Guidance was required to determine which program naming options were top contenders.
Approach
M/A/R/C®’s proprietary Accelerated Sort with Implicit Breakthrough allowed our client to easily evaluate over 20 naming options. The research was conducted among 150 future nursing students with 100+ ratings per name.
Results revealed which names were Instant Connections and how well each delivered on critical KPIs:

Incorporates implicit response time using an intuitive swipe exercise to determine instant connections.
Outcome
- Two of the naming options rose to the top as Instant Connections, delivering well on both appeal and uniqueness.
- They were also rated highly on fit with the program and for eliciting a desire to find out more information.
- One of the two top names was perceived to be easier to remember than the other, giving that name a slight edge.
